  • Hammerhead 54 #1, Hecla. She's sailed all over; US East Coast, Bahamas, Caribbean and twice across the Pacific.
  • Sailboats with rooster tails are okay!!
  • Hammerhead 54, Bahamas
  • Flair in the main hull improves the accommodation space and keeps the spray down at high speed. Crossbeams are carbon fiber box beams with streamlined fairings.
  • Stress map of the Hammerhead 54 main crossbeam bulkhead. Analysis performed in house.
  • Retractable rudder kicks up on impact and can steer while partially retracted. Not the simplest rudder to build but the best configuration for this boat and it is unbreakable.
  • Owner Jeff Lebesh finishing first by 16 hours in the single handed Farallones Race, 2009. San Francisco.
  • Start of the Farallones Race
  • HH54, "Flying Fish" built by Charlie Pingree, Banks Cove Boatworks
  • Cockpit is well sheltered and set up for single handed sailing.
  • Nice view from the spacious deck house. The hull flair provides ample beam for accommodation while still having a slender hull at the waterline.
  • "Flying Fish", Galley aft port side.
